Outlook 2013.
Entering 2013, there are positive signs with regard to further growth and an improved demand development for TiO2-pigment short term. Whilst expectations for Europe are limited, signs from North America and large areas in Asia are more positive. We have expectations that demand for TiO2 and feedstock in 2013 will be flat compared to the level experienced in 2012 – with a slow start and ** “an awaiting attitude” ** during the first half of the year. The second half of the year is expected to give a better balance between supply and demand both for feedstock and finished products. Medium- and long term we expect that TiO2-demand will develop according to GDP-growth as in the past. The worldwide TiO2 supply chain - from the mineral in the ground to the end user - should be in a good position to secure a healthy future – learning from experience from the last 18 months.
