Arabic term

ilbilya/b

Arabic to English Social Sciences General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
Person B is someone who has a habit of quitting jobs. He works for a short while, makes some money, quits, then looks for work again when he needs more money. He likes to relax and has a habit of borrowing money when he needs it, too.

‫ Person A says:
انت يعنى تقعد كده شهر ولا حاجة و تسيبه

‫ و تسيب الشغلانة

Person B responds:
‫ لا مش شهر يعنى قول شهرين
yimkin‬
لما
‪ilbilya‬
بتلعب فى إيدى بقى
‬ ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬Then when I make some money, I just move on. I say that's enough for now.
But when the money runs out, I start thinking I need to work again.

ilbilya here could also be ilbilyab. The text has some problems so it's not clear if the b belongs there or not.

it means good things that happen to you by chance, not because of your own efforts or abilities.
