screen chamber Explanation: The design of WWTPs varies based on a number of factors, so, bearing in mind that they are not all the same, the "pozo de gruesos" is not the same as the "pozo de desbaste". If the WWTP has both, then the "pozo de gruesos" comes first. As its name suggests, it is for screening large solids or coarse materials. The "pozo de desbaste" will then have finer screens for removing grit, sand, etc. As far as I am aware, the "pozo de desbaste" is the "grit chamber".
