I don't wish to be rude but Jesus's suggestion is nonsensical. There's no way that 'for' is the right preposition there. You can die FROM something, but to die FOR something has a completely different meaning (e.g. he died for king and country). I'd also argue that 'carried off' is far too ambiguous.

Equally, and again without wishing to be rude, your suggested sentence makes no sense whatsoever. You might consider adopting the practice of translating into your native language only.

the thing is that carry off is to take somebody by illnes, so that I would say that to carry a good deal of fishes off for liver indigestión is a good translation
