Gracias.

envelope material
The building envelope is all of the elements of the outer shell that maintain a dry, heated, or cooled indoor environment and facilitate its climate control. Building envelope design is a specialized area of architectural and engineering practice that draws from all areas of building science and indoor climate control.[2]
The many functions of the building envelope can be separated into three categories:[3]
Support (to resist and transfer Structural loads)
Control (the flow of matter and energy of all types)
Finish (to meet human desires on the inside and outside)

'Fabrica' is usually a factory, but I am assuming they really mean 'fabricación' (making/building/constructing).

Nb: Sin más contexto, no puedo ofrecer más opciones.
You can Google "construction of the enclosure" for more ideas...

Si se trata de un encabezado, pues "Enclosure construction" vale. Sin embargo, dentro de una frase completa, la forma más larga puede servirte mejor.

OK, now we know that it means 'fabric/material', enclosure material/material of the enclosure could work, although if it refers to the building envelope (i.e. covering the whole building), Neil-A's suggestion may be better.

Note from asker:
The client has just told me that "fabrica" means the material, so I think "the material of the enclosure" works, doesn't it? |

Wall masonry
I believe this is similar to "cerramiento de obra de fábrica", translated here by Nikki Graham:
http://www.proz.com/kudoz/spanish_to_english/construction_ci...
I'd like to see the entire sentence the term is used in. "Fábrica" is brick or masonry, and IMO the client could have very well meant that it refers to the material in a general sense, not the precise translation.

: I think you could be right Elizabeth, I've mentioned "envelope masonry" in the glossary entry. It's difficult to be sure without further context (if it exists).

Thanks, Neil. I agree that "envelope masonry" is a valid (and probably) better translation. Too bad there was no response to my request for the entire sentence.
