These findings and findings like them (e.g., Anderson 1959; Willis 1960) led to the widely accepted conclusion that adding a new average strength positive claim or argument about a target will increase the impression of that target object, an empirical regularity that Anderson (1967) referred to as the ***set size effect***.

l'effet taille d'ensemble
Here, we seem to be talking about 'set' in the mathematical sense, where we find plenty of examples of 'taille d'ensemble' for 'set size'; here, this appears the be the effect of the size of the set (making the set bigger has some kind of effect, as is being described here...)
HOWEVER, forstly I am no expert in this field, and secondly, I obtained ZERO results when trying a Google search on the whole expression; searching for the 2 parts separately returned plenty of results, but I could find nothing relevant to the context here.
I hope this may simply be of some help for you with further research.

This EN article may help by giving a fuller definition of the term:

I also note that many source express it as "set-size effect", where the hyphen helpfully guides comprehension.

Discussion
The following would seem conclusive were it not for the fact that I cannot find any other examples of the French expression suggested.

... plus appuyée de l'information par rapport à une information moins confirmée dans ce qu'on appelle souvent « set size effect » (effet de taille d'un ensemble).
