Estoy traduciendo los estatutos de una sociedad anónima venezolana.

"Asociados

La Junta Directiva permitirá la incorporación de Asociados para la realización de determinados trabajos relativos al objeto social, o para la totalidad de las actividades que la sociedad desarrolle en el cumplimiento de su objetivo social.

Los Asociados tienen derecho a participar en los resultados de cada uno de los trabajos para los cuales hayan sido admitidos por la Junta Directiva. La participación del Asociado que participe en la totalidad del **giro económico** y el porcentaje de su participación deberá ser aprobado por la Asamblea General de Accionistas convocada especialmente a tal efecto. Igualmente, la Junta Directiva deberá obtener la aprobación de la Asamblea General de Accionistas cuando el porcentaje de participación del Asociado sea superior a un veinte por ciento (20 %)."

La cantidad total de dinero que vas a mover en cada período, el total de ingresos al mes,por ejemplo.

I do agree that "giro" by itself refers to a line of work or business activity.
