Hello there,
Let´s see if any of you have an explanation for this term.
In the context of a form used to select issues to solve in an organization, there´s a question that has to be answered in order to follow the procedure that says "Will the issue have a pocket book angle?"
I haven't found any occurrence of this term on the Internet. Curiously, when a search of the term is performed, the page that contains this term and that I am using pops up, but nothing else.
I wonder if any of you have stumbled upon this in the past. You can see the form here http://www.scorcher.org/screed/pdf/issuechooser.pdf
Regards,
R.

"pocket(-)book": 2 : a flat typically leather folding case for money or personal papers that can be carried in a pocket or handbag
i.e., a "pocket-book" is what the English call a "wallet". For example when we say "The Chancellor's latest tax increase on beer has hit us hard in the wallet!"
Note that the English ST is neutral as regards whether an eventual impact on the "pocket book" will be positive or negative. This neutrality must be retained in the translation.
If the ST context is related to state finances (as distinct from personal or corporate), then this might be relevant:

<i<May 13, 2016 - ... la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (Cepal) recalcó que el cambio de Carta Magna no afectará la billetera fiscal, ya que ...
where billetera fiscal would translate as "national budget" (or something similar).

: There's nothing inherently 'positive' (ahorro, ganacia, ganar-ganar) in the ST, as quoted. The 'cuestión' might well be prejudicial in financial terms (eg, if it could trigger a huge rise in income tax).
