German term

Hebelei

German to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering Forklift
Hebelei hat Spiel.
Buchsen und Bolzen sind verbraucht. Nach Ausbau festgestellt, dass Hebelei zum Austausch der Lagerung zu stark ausgeschlagen ist.

This is a repair log for a forklift. There's no indication of where the part is mounted.

Sounds like the end of the lever, maybe a complex lever .....

Thanks everyone :-)
HilaryS (asker) Oct 7, 2017:
That sounds pretty convincing
Sybille Brückner Oct 7, 2017:
I assume that Hebelei is a very colloquial expression, which comprises the entirety of levers.

All the levers/leverage (belonging to the support/bearing are strongly worn.
HilaryS (asker) Oct 7, 2017:
Maybe you're right, the thing is that "Hebelei" comes twice and "Hebeleinheit" twice as well, which is what made me think there might be a difference. I suppose "leverage", being the general hardware for levering, might cover it in a general way, as long as it doesn't refer to a particular part.
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Oct 7, 2017:
If Hebeleinheit appears later on then I would simply assume that Hebelei was a typo for Hebeleinheit.
HilaryS (asker) Oct 6, 2017:
Yes, I think it must be a system, later on it says that the "Hebeleinheit" was replaced, so it can't be just a simple lever.
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Oct 6, 2017:
Hand pallet trucks are raised by pumping action (i.e. moving the handlebar up and down several times). I wonder whether this type of lever mechanism/lever system is what the "Hebelei" refers to.
HilaryS (asker) Oct 6, 2017:
That's not stated, but most likely the latter. They have electric motors and a driver platform, initial lift - sounds more like a smaller type.

Thanks for helping
Gudrun Maydorn (X) Oct 6, 2017:
What type of forklift are we talking about? A Gabelstapler (large motorised vehicle that the operator sits on) or a Hubwagen/Flurförderzeug/Ameise (manual or electric hand pallet truck)?
