Polo ativo é quem entra com o processo, ou seja, o autor ( ou reclamante / requerente / exequente, dependendo do tipo da ação). É quem pede algo ou uma quantia em dinheiro ou acusa o outro de algum delito ou transgressão.
Polo passivo é aquele contra o qual se abre um processo, ou seja, o réu ( ou reclamado, requerido, executado, dependendo do tipo da ação). É quem é acusado de algo ou de quem se requer alguma coisa ou uma quantia em dinheiro.
