TB CommuniCAT (asker) Aug 7, 2018:
Here is the next sentence:
He is on point when asked about the benefits of transitioning to a smart factory. ABC is a 20,000 square foot fully automated industrial bakery based in DEF with plans to phase-in new smart-factory technologies.
Tony M Aug 7, 2018:
@ Asker So you really have no idea what his answer is?

I normally understand 'on point' as being like 'to the point', 'spot on', etc. — so it sounds as if he is on the ball, knows exactly what he's talking about, etc. Does this seem to be consistent with the rest of your document?
TB CommuniCAT (asker) Aug 7, 2018:
Context It is about transforming the factory into an automated one. That is how the text begins and the rest is about the factory (year founded, number of employees, etc.)
Tony M Aug 7, 2018:
@ Asker: Context? Well, it does rather depened on what his answer is to the question!

Usually, I'd say it means "when asked the question, his answer is spot on" — "his answer really hits the mark"; things like 'pertinent' or 'ad hoc'.

Autre version si problème ne plaît pas
En fait le problème c'est pour les autres et non pas pour lui:

'il est au fait du sujet/de la chose'

disagree Tony M : He has been asked about the benefits — there is no mention of 'problem?!
