In another study, Botez et al. used different available shapes of Ceraform® (grains, compact block, bars) for a variety of indications and could show similar radiological evolution with no side effects and good bone substitute integration in all the cases [37]. Also, based on implant survival rates it is not possible to demonstrate the superiority of bone augmentation using granules over blocks and vice and versa [6; 23; 37]. However, there are still differences between granules and blocks like production process, surface to volume ratio, porosity etc. which needs special attention and due to these differences granules, even though there is no significant clinical difference observed in their use, were considered only halfequivalent to Scaffold.
