anglicismos «período run-in» y «período lead-in», que
suelen traducirse al español como 'periodo de preinclu-
sión' o 'período de rodaje'. Sí los participantes en el estu-
dio reciben un placebo duran te este período, se habla de
placebo run-in period (período de preinclusión con place-
bo, período de rodaje con placebo).
No debe confundirse coa run-out period, que es el perío-
do final de reposo farmacológico en un estudio clínico
(generalmente llamado 'lavado final').
