Comida de mentira

Spanish to English Medical Nutrition
I am translating a text based on real food and I am interested in hearing what people think about what the translation of comida de mentira should be. It is an idea of fakeness and falseness but it is not junk food as that would be comida de basura. I am translating material about ultra-processed food.

I think it should be fake food. What do you all think of lie food? Or lying food. To show this idea of falseness?

The next is from Spain into UK English. Target audience is urban foodies.

Many thanks!

BrE Grub's up for mealy mouths

... or mowts, as pronounced by my Irish acquantances.

'Target audience is urban foodies' suggests tongue-in-cheek turns of phrase might not be out of place.
Example sentence:

Mealy-mouthed about food. We grew up learning that even the last crumb on the plate must not go to waste because many kids go to bed hungry.
