This is from a preface from a translation of a literary work.
Any ideas about 'verter' in such a context?

I like this option since it carries the idea of "pouring" as verter and also, due to the idiomatic expressions of "spill the beans," "spill out," it adds to the image of the word.

The person conveying the message to an audience in a foreign language. I know that "to translate/translator" could be an easy fix, but perhaps it could sound too direct
for the context?

In the case of the third "vierte", as in "en la lengua en que lo vierte", it could be simplified to "in the target language = in the language of the target audience".

I've agreed with Phil's suggestions, but in case you're looking for something to say other than "translate" and "render", the above are a few ideas. I'd probably also be inclined to use three different verbs for "verter" in English.
