Spanish term

Cooperación por obra

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Purchase of Property contract
Hello, I am a little confused with this concept. I understand this is a payment made for works that are carried out in your area?

I tried to put "cooperation for works" but doesn't sound right to me!

Many thanks for your help,

works contribution

In other words, a payment (contribution) towards works carried out around the building or area.
The link below specifically refers to highway works, but it could be for other things as well.
Example sentence:

Highway Works Contribution means the sum of fifty-one thousand and one hundred and eighty-six pounds to be paid by the Owner to the Council ...

... education contribution, sustainability issues Highway works contribution, near-site leisure contribution,..

Peer comment(s):

agree Jennifer Levey : Perhaps best preceded by 'public', as in 'public works contribution'

agree AllegroTrans : "contributions for public works" perhaps. I remember in my first house having to pay a 40% "contribution" to the cost of a new direct water supply to replace an old shared one

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you! I didn't use the word "public" just because I wasn't 100% sure if this was a private or public road (like paying for private security for that street which is a normal thing in Mexico). Much appreciated!!"

Spanish term (edited): cooperación por obra (municipal)

(local or municipal) co-operative project funding -> financing

Note that it is not se(r)vicio de agua potable y *de* cooperación por obra.

In the UK, as conveyancers will know, this item would show up on a *local* land charges search, previously obtainable from the Local Authority but now, in a streamlined system, from HM (His Majesty's) Land Registry.

Funding has, for about 40 years and in actual accountancy, banking and legal practice, been a vogue term in the City of London / UK for financing.
Example sentence:

Certificado de no adeudo por Cooperación de Obra Municipal Dirigido a: Personas físicas y morales. Tiempo de respuesta: 2 días hábiles. Área responsable: Departamento de impuesto predial. (Mex. real property tax, West / local rates)

Coop Fund is an experimental cooperative funding platform that accumulates financial resources through member contributions, and redistributes small funds

Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : "funding/financing" suggests something other than taxation/levy/burden/charge (which is what this appears to be) on an individual land/property, and I don't see why "project" is needed

Thanks for reminding of the obra = project weblink: https://www.proz.com/personal-glossaries/entry/18320488-obra... Otherwise, a local land charge is a contribution or levy.

'LEY DE OBRAS POR COOPERACIÓN
... la cooperación económica que los ciudadanos aporten para financiar las obras públicas, se determina de manera proporcional a los beneficios que la ejecución de dichas obras genera. Igualmente, al considerar el bienestar general que la obra pública genera, y no únicamente la plusvalía agregada a la propiedad inmueble, se amplía la esfera de observancia y aplicación de esta norma jurídica.
