Regarding claims 3~4, D1 discloses “if frequency density is 1/n, then every n:th RB in the scheduled BW carry a PTRS port” and “FFs on RB location offset in steps of on RB” (see Section 2.1).
From the disclosures in D1, it can be inferred that PTRS RB offset can be a function of parameters such as BW, FDstep (that is, the inverse of frequency density).
In addition, D2 discloses “the RBs containing PTRS are better to be uniformly allocated as much as possible, that is introduce some offset for the PTRS mapping.
For example, the lowest index of PRB (the index starting from 0) containing PTRS can be defined as nlowest = min((n-1), ([(n-1)/2] + NRB mod n), where n is the frequency density parameter, i.e. density is 1/n, NRB is the number of scheduled PRBs.
And the index of PRB containing PTRS can be calculated as nlowest + I * n, I = 0, 1, … {NRB /n} -1.
Example of PTRS mapping with offset for 176 PRBs allocation is also shown in Figure 1c and
1d (see Section 2)”.
D1 and D2 are exactly in the same technical field and the technical problem to be solved is also exactly same.
Accordingly, it is easy for a person skilled in the art to combine D1 and D2.
Therefore, the additional features in claims 3~4 lack inventive step as being obvious over D1 or D1 in view of D2.
