French term or phrase: Traitement de l'inconfort
Hi,

The term 'Traitement de l'inconfort' comes up in a hospital discharge report from an ICU as one of the treatment options available. 'Prise en charge de la douleur' and 'Prise en charge palliative' are already given as options, which is a bit annoying as I considered translating this term as 'Pain management' or 'Palliative care.'
What about Symptom relief' or similar? Admittedly, this comes rather close to 'Pain management.'

Thank you in advance.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Persons with disorders of consciousness (DoC) may perceive pain without being able to communicate their discomfort. Nociception Coma Scale (NCS) and its revised form (NCS-R) have been proposed to assess nociception in coma survivors with DoC.
