More context would be needed to be certain, but this seems to be a reference to telecommunications equipment, rather than to power tools.
A SIDACtor (correctly spelled like that, with a mix of upper and lower case) is a type of thyristor commonly used in telephones, modems, and other telecommunications devices, to protect them from sudden eletrical spikes on the line, such as might be caused by distant lightning, or transients from heavy industrial equipment in close proximity.
