These stamps are made in the Federal Republic of Germany on white paper with a natural watermark. The symbol is divided into four fields. In the first two, the content of the package, type and retail sales price of the tobacco article are entered; another, so-called decorative field, is provided with embossed print and the last field is reserved for the cancellation mark. Sealing revenue symbols consisting of three fields and revenue forms quoting quantity or price are used for special products. The use consists of cancellation and application on to the retail packets of tobacco products.
