Paint with Allmoge paint
We painted these classic plaited baskets with Allmoge paint. We used white, light pink, dark purple, leaf green and dark dala blue. You can use many techniques; here you can see an example of the so-called colour fading technique. Mix one colour with different amounts of white paint, then paint around the basket so that the colour fades out. It is an old technique that has often been used with plaited baskets. Loads of different techniques and allmoge painting inspiration can be found online.

Discussion
My suggestion doesn't exactly render lots of interesting hits via Google, but maybe using 'arts and crafts' will lead thoughts in the right direction? Though it may also be misleading, as 'almuemaling' dates much further back than the arts and crafts movement... Just a thought... Will be interested to hear other (better) suggestions...
