If you can´t ask the client, you can sometimes see whether abbreviations and acronyms with letters like C and W are already English.
Those letters only occur in imported words and names in Danish.
Clients may also use their own in-house abbreviations, which you cannot guess or look up elsewhere, so it is worth asking them if you can.
Or someone else may have a better suggestion.
