The text is about embroidery stitches, different ones and how to use them. I think the "counted filling" is a type of "opvulsteek" but I am not sure what the correct term is in Dutch. Any suggestions? Thanks

Betekent 'counted' niet gewoon 'getelde', d.w.z. dat je bij het borduren de draden van het borduurgaas (of de lap stof o.i.d.) moet tellen (i.t.t. borduren op zo'n voorgedrukte afbeelding)?
Zie hier bijv. het vergelijkbare verschil tussen 'counted cross stitches' en 'stamped cross stitches':
"Counted cross stitch is worked on unprinted even-weave fabrics (...) The stitcher counts from the chart to the fabric to place each stitch. (...) In stamped cross stitch, the X’s are printed on a tightly woven fabric and the stitcher forms the stitches by working over the printed X’s"

Kan me voorstellen dat hetzelfde geldt voor zo'n (op)vulsteek.
