French term

documents d'insertion

French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations conditions générales
Hello,

"Dans le cas où la remise des documents d’insertion dépasse le délai d’insertion prévu dans le «calendrier des parutions», ou que les épreuves de «bon à tirer» ne sont pas renvoyées dans les délais à l’éditeur, l’annonce est considérée comme «bon à tirer»; "

in the case where the documents d'insertion exceed the material deadline...

all I can think of is " printing material, document to be printed...
This is in the "conditions générales" for ad space in a Swiss magazine.

Thank you

or perhaps, reworded:
If the insert is not delivered by the deadline for inserts.

Thank you.

Thank you.
neutral Lara Barnett : I would use the term "Insert" more for a small piece of card or a flier, inserted physically into a form of reading material.

That would work too.
neutral B D Finch : The point is that the insert has been delivered, but the customer has failed to reply to queries and give the final go-ahead.// Surely it couldn't be deemed «bon à tirer» unless something had been delivered for printing?

[...] the verb is not the phrase in question. // I see your point... Still, I think the first suggestion in "Explanation" works...

Insertions / Advertising space insertions

I think this is one of those cases where the French has a longer more sophisticated expression, whereas most Ad T & Cs simply use the term "insertion". Some also seem to say "advertising (space) insertion", but it is probably not necessarily as "advertising space" is implicit in term here.
Example sentence:

"6.3 Any Frequency Discount granted by the Company to the Advertiser for multiple ADVERTISEMENT INSERTIONS will apply only in the event that all the Advertisements contemplated are placed."

"2.2.2  All orders must specify the date of insertion, failing which INSERTIONS will be deemed to be consecutive from date of first insertion. "

neutral cc in nyc : I would leave "advertising space" out of it since it's not in the French
