Hi there,
I have translated this as follows except for "camp"...could anyone help me w/this? I really appreciate it..
It is necessary, however, to note that, due to a harvest lag, a large part of our exports were made in 2009 (we are thinking in camp and not in calendar year) - merci bcp

I'm pretty sure 'camp' it's an abbreviation for "campagne", though I'm suddenly less sure about how to translate this. I think "season" is probably best; ie they are referring to one crop cycle (which may go by a specific year which does not correspond exactly to the calendar year of the cycle). I realise your text probably doesn't deal with fish but the example was the first vaguely appropriate one I could find.

we think in terms of seasons not tax years
I THINK THE POINT BEING MADE IS THAT THE AGRICULTURAL YEAR CONSISTS OF SEASONS WHICH DO NOT CORRESPOND TO THE FINANCIAL YEAR

You could expand it and say 'We farmers think in terms of...' (if the writer is in fact a farmer, of course!
