No, it is not Stephanie. I want to translate this from French to ENGLISH. The word 'chaude ' is too hot for me!
Stéphanie Soudais Dec 12, 2010:
Is this already a translation?

hot deals

Sounds to me like a direct calque on the EN. In sales / marketing, we often talk about things being 'hot' or 'cold', c.f. ' a hot lead' or 'cold calling'

Thanks, Alex! You're always pretty hot yourself... just a shame we're floundering a bit for context here... which particularly affects the key word!
agree Evans (X) : hot deals, hot tips... that sort of idea, more context would help!

hot business, hot projects

Presumably.

"Hot" in the familiar sense of "topical", "current", "favourable", "likely to be won/bagged".

Which yet again is proof that we all, men and women alike, have a sexual thought every eight seconds.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Both hot possibilities, depending on actual context.

urgent business

In my experience, "chaud" means "urgent" rather than "important".
