From a schedule of tasks to be completed before and during a convention hosted by a major French auto maker. The heading is "Arrivées / libres" and the tasks below it include staffing reception desk, handing out room keys, scheduling wake-up calls, checking that buses are in place for guests, and so on. In your opinion, does 'libres' have to do with the time at which these tasks must be performed (i.e. intermittently between guest arrivals), or does it describe something else? The time slots shown for each task are 3-4 hours long.

Good question the heading immediately preceding it is "Préparation" and immediately following it are "Test Drive" and "Séminaire."

"libres" is used in a university context to mean those attending a lecture that are not registered in the course. I am therefore guessing that a similar connotation could be given to its use at a convention.
