French term (edited):
la pêche
good mood
several possibilities (variations on the idea of good mood), but this is the general idea, as in "what puts you in a good mood in the morning?"

... although the French term has connotations of 'energy' that might not be conveyed quite enough by my English suggestion.

maybe "boost" ? As in "What gives you a boost every morning?"

To be full of get-up-and -go
avoir la pêche signifie avoir de l'énergie..Je vois bien cette expression..

get-up-and-go
As Catherine points out, there is this idea of energy/drive/oomph in la pêche that is perhaps missing from good mood (not that good mood is wrong).
"What gets you going?" might work too.

Sorry, Assia - hadn't seen you'd posted the same thing.

"What puts you on top form in the morning?"
Just another possibility.

"Avoir la pêche" has a strong meaning of being in a good physical shape. Not being fit per se, but feeling available and fresh physically. Hence my suggestion.

: This sounds a bit contrived and not very colloquial for a Q&A session.

: Kelloggs ads aside (('a great start to the day'), I think this is the thrust of the question although perhaps the Asker wants to know what the 'peach' alludes to. I thought that 'what sort of thing perks you up' to cover the mental & physical boost

a spring in your step
Another option; perhaps combines Catharine's good mood and energy, though it might end up being too long.
Example sentence:
What puts a spring in your step in the morning?
3 hrs
what peps you up
...in the morning? A smile from my poppet.
I think the play on words and the alliteration in the Q & A are important, so they both need considering. My suggestion keeps at least the alliteration.
