Guarantee Agreement
This is from a Guarantee Agreement. I usually keep "force majeure" as it is and italicise it, but I've never seen it with "politique locale" tagged onto the end before. This is used throughout the text. "local policy force majeure" seems clumsy.
FORCE MAJEURE POLITIQUE LOCALE
Dans le cas d’un Evènement de Force Majeure Politique Locale (tel que défini dans le Contrat) affectant la Centrale, l’Etat s’engage à compenser la SOCIETE des pertes consécutives audit Evènement de Force Majeure Politique Locale en lui versant les Paiements de Capacité (tels que définis dans le Contrat) et les paiements en cas de résiliation causés par un Evènement de Force Majeure Politique Locale, selon les modalités ci-dessous.

Local Policy Force Majeure
I am afraid that despite its clumsiness, the best solution would be to directly translate it AND use capital letters as is often found in legal usage. The text indicates that it is a defined phrase in the document and I would respect that assertion by capitalizing its translation.

"politique" is clearly Policy rather than political. Political is an adjective with a specific meaning different from policy. Understanding of the full source text would be quite helpful as always....

: Can't see why it's clumsy. Agree for capitalisation. Also agree that it’s a concept defined in the contract and therefore possibly not standard. It's not on the net in Fr either. Also for ‘local policy’, it’s a Gov contract(?)
