French term

adiastolie débutante

French to English Medical Medical: Cardiology Patient medical notes
Could someone help me with the correct term for this in English? I am afraid I do not know what it could be and need to ask the help of someone with more experience...

Here is the term in its full context.

thank you in advance for your time and help.

In your particular context with pericardial effusion, this is known as cardiac tamponade.

Cardiac tamponade is a clinical syndrome caused by the accumulation of fluid in the pericardial space, resulting in reduced ventricular filling and subsequent hemodynamic compromise.

Note from asker:
Hello Sue, thank you very much once again for taking the time to provide the reference. I was a little concerned about what to do with "adiastole" as the only reference I could find to it in English, referred back to French sources. Your answer is something along the lines of what I was thinking but of course I was very unsure, so thanks, the reference will be very helpful for the remainder of the document also.

Note from asker:
Thank you very much for providing the reference. I don't think the term is very common in English from what I can see and I might plump for something safer. Your help with providing a definition of "débutante" was appreciated though.
