Academic paper on Italian Art History
Taken from an academic paper on the Italian art historian Vasari on his method of collecting artworks:
Sentence is incredibly long, so I've just included the relevant part.
Any help with Blattbild gratefully received - is it some sort of way of organising the folios within the book?
Many thanks

Another 'intelligent (?) guess': the way a sheet was organised, the way it looked. BTW, the style (and sentence length) of your text extracts suggests it may be older - C19? 1920s latest? Which is possibly why the terminology is so elusive to us.
