As another suggestion, it seems that maybe the 性 in this sentence is referring to new capabilities of communication, such as "the evolution of communication offering both visual and real time data capabiliy", or "the evolution of communication with the capacity for both visuals and real time data". Just another suggestion.

The point is the amount or type of information - not the rate (efficiency) it's being transmitted.
Real-time info has the big bonus of immediacy. This makes for its value.

By its appearance, データ性 suggests “having the quality of data”, that is, being amenable to capture, processing and analysis, an interpretation partially supported by the context (Google, "mashup", and "evolution") and the contrast with "visualization". But I’d prefer to consult with the client or author if no other clues were available.
In the meantime, "data capabilities" retains the suggestiveness of 性, neither excluding the simple sense of "data efficiency", nor abandoning the hint at advanced functions, such as face and voice recognition combined with search using data correlated from different sources, or whatever.
This is as far as I'd go without more information.
