This comes in a questionnaire. The respondants were given a word and asked to give any images or expressions they associated with it.
Other answers have included "can", "crab", "camp site", "Cannes" and "toilet paper", so I really don't have anything much to go on here.

There do seem to be some Internet references that erroneously give キャネス as the katakana for "Cannes", but may be written by non-native Japanese speakers, which may explain it (?)

: really difficult for me to grasp the interrelation between those words the asker is picking up. i can't believe some people might read Cannes キャネス as it's commnly known as カンヌ from Cannes Film Festival (Festival de Cannes), but who knows? -

I agree with you, although some (mostly ignorant?) NES's mistakenly pronounce Cannes as "Cans" instead of "Khan", and I believe the citation I gave was not written by a NJS. What about that ol' favorite スタジオ for "studio"?
