Portuguese term or phrase: el mundo / él
In this paragraph "las formas de entender el mundo y las cosas que existen en él"

Is it correct to use the pronoun "él" to refer to the word "mundo"?

I'm thinking it's not correct given that the pronoun "él" means he!

o mundo / ele - the world / it
Explanation:
Yes, "él" despite being the translation for He, it is also an anaphoric reference here and thus can be translated as "it".
