I assume this is a "slang expression" , as a Näthinnan is retina .
Would "it's not a commerical/ad that sticks in ones mind" work??
I looked up "fasnar" & should it be "fastnar" ?? See below.....

What's wrong with this English idiom. Imprinted/engraved are common enough expressions. Perhaps not "stuck".
