Swedish term

artistutövande

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Insurance life assurance
Anyone know what this is in terms of life assurance (in a list with idrotts-, sport (not sure of the difference between those either - maybe games and sport).
Maybe artistic performances (e.g. skating?).
Advice appreciated.

Discussion

Helen Johnson (asker) Feb 24, 2007:
Mind you, I should perhaps add that later on there's mention of occupational injury insurance. This appears to be more medical expenses insurance (general document mentioning 3 or 4 things), presumably hence the sport and later on a list of different sports such as contact sport, parachuting, etc.
Helen Johnson (asker) Feb 24, 2007:
Sorry, there is no other context. It's mentioned in connection with the short list already mentioned in my question, i.e. idrott and sport.
Neil Crockford Feb 24, 2007:
Some more context would be helpful. Is this, for example, in a list of exclusions?

There is not likely to be a specific life assurance meaning.

artistic exercises

This would presumably cover activities which are related to sport but where assessment is on the basis of style not result.
Peer comment(s):

neutral asptech : The word "excercise" seems strange in this context. The expression can have 2 meanings: it either says that the person in question is an artist and does his thing for a living, or it refers to the actual artistic performance.

practising the profession of artist

Just a guess, but I wonder if it has anything to do with insurance for a practising artist. In a similar vein, some countries grant tax exemption for practising artists.
Peer comment(s):

neutral Sven Petersson : Why "profession"(-ally)?
