Swedish term

öfvermarskalk

Swedish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
Hello

At an Association's annual meeting, the öfvermarskalk has to be elected.

Quite a few references on the Internet but no explanation.

It is not scrutineers or tellers as I have already used these words.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Discussion

Agneta Pallinder Jan 23, 2016:
Student ceremonials Öfvermarskalk, with the use of the archaic spelling "fv", is what some student organisations at some universitites call their senior events and ceremonials organiser/principal performer. The "marskalkarna" might also have a role in student welfare.

Grand/Head Marshal are both possibilities, but I would go with "Grand"

Only one "l" in marshal (excuse the typo)
