This abbreviation appears in the notes to a lab report and precedes the name of a physician. The full phrase reads "Specialistläkare Vmo [name of physician]".

Värnamo Hospital

If that seems to fit into your (geographical) context. They have a big "Länsdelssjukhus", which was rather new and modern when I went to med school, so our class did a field trip to it.

VMO/Visiting Medical Officer

I haven't ever seen this used in Swedish, just putting it in as a suggestion in case it is in fact an EN acronym...
It is widely used in Australian EN.
