Medical (general)
Sorry I posted this earlier as Danish to English
The term "Vridvåld" appears in an insurance policy.
"Vridvåld samt hälseneruptur betraktas också som olycksfallsskada även om kriterierna (se ovan) som kännetecknar ett olycksfall inte är uppfyllda."
Is there an exact English term for vridvåld, or could twisting injury suffice?

Will Matter
: "sprain" or "strain" is acceptable English.

Thanks, Will. In fact "Achilles strain" appears quite often in Google

: You mix up cause and effect. "Vridvåld" is a cause, "sprain" is one of the many possible effects.

Generally it may well be so, but in the text both Vridvåld and hälseneruptur are regarded as " olycksfallsskada", and not the causes of injuries
