Kama pesa zake zingekuwa mawe, angekuwa na mawe yanayotosha kujenga Kuta kuu la China! Ingawa bwana Gates ndiye mwenye mali nyingi zaidi duniani, yeye huenda kazini kila siku ya wiki, kutoka saa tatu asubuhi mpaka saa kumi na moja jioni. Na Bwana Gates anaishi Wapi? Anaishi Amerikia!
Translation - English Many people think that here in America there is so much money that nobody has to work hard in order to become rich. Whoever believes this is wrong! You have to work hard, wherever you are, if you want to become rich. The Swahili ancestors did not lie to us when they coined the proverb ' Whoever wants anything that is under a bed, chair, e.t.c., must bend." Bill gates is extremely rich. If his money were bricks, he would have enough to build the Great Wall of China! Even though Mr. Gates is the richest man in the world, he goes to work every week-day, from nine o'clock in the morning to five o'clock in the evening. And where does Mr. Gates live? He lives in the United States of America!

I am a native of Kenya which is a former British colony. Therefore, I started speaking in English at home, even before stepping foot in a classroom. My mother tongues are Swahili and Kikuyu. I also speak "sh-eng" but due to its erratic dynamism, I can not truthfully claim that i am fluent in it. I only recently moved to the States therefore my cultural values are still pretty intact. This enables me to localize and teach in Swahili, Kikuyu and "sh-eng". My rates reasonable and negotiable. After all, I offer my services with the aim of bridging the lingual and cultural gaps. I currently reside in Manhattan where I work as a freelance translator and Swahili teacher. I also study Political Economics at the Henry George School of Social Sciences and A+ and N+ certifiation, at the Per Scholar Institute.
