Absolutely! Apr 19, 2010

I certainly do. I need a clear head to interpret/translate effectively. Not taking a break (or not asking for one) increases the chance I will make a grave error.....something I want to avoid!!

Depends on what you call a "long period of time"!

advantage of working at home Apr 19, 2010

When I've had enough I go and do a bit of housework (nothing too demanding!) - check the washing machine, put on something to cook .... even just wander round the balcony to see what's growing in the flower pots.

With Alexandra! Apr 19, 2010

Might be an advantage but maybe an inconvenient too! Working and thinking "I really need to get cracking with the dusting" can be a wee bit distracting!

I feel that I really should /ought to do some stretching but do not give myself the time....

Neighbour's dog Apr 19, 2010

I decided that I had to take better breaks from work than I was doing - so offered to walk the neighbour's dog every lunchtime. Everyone's happy with that arrangement, even the dog...

yes Apr 20, 2010

i admit sometimes i forget when I'm really involved. But I make sure that I take breaks to stretch...and of course, there's my normal fitness routine, working out at the gym and going for bike rides. But at home, yes, I make sure I stretch.

My dogs remind me when it's time to take a break Apr 21, 2010

They won't let me off the hook. One of them is gentle; the other throws hissy-fits if I go too long without paying any attention to them.
