There has been a huge misunderstanding about the format in which terminology is stored in Transit packages. (This was probably caused by me, many years ago). STAR AG decided to store the content of the TermStar dictionaries in a generic, albeit rather complex, format: MARTIF. When you export a dictionary, Transit adds the extension "MTF" to the exported file. Inside the Transit Exchange package, however, the extension "TXE" is used (the "E" probably stands for "Exchange"). CafeTran Espresso currently doesn't offer a way to get the term pairs out of a TXE file. Hopefully, Igor will decide to add this feature. Until then, you have the following alternatives: - Ask your client to export the dictionary either in TBX or TMX format.
