Bombarded with kudoz mails! 投稿者: Diane de Cicco

I am being bombarded with kudoz e-mails for the same question over and over again (two question; 20 or more per question!) as if the system were programmed to send me the same e-mail every minute or had gone totally crazy. How can I stop this e-mail tropical storm? | | | Submit a Support Request | Sep 26, 2005 |

I have now received over 35 of the same!

Hi Diane There is a possibility that, for some reason, your email client cannot delete the message from the server - as a result you would get it each time you retrieve the mail. This may happen in very rare cases if the message somehow gets corrupted. The solution in this case is to get to the server using a webmail feature, and delete the message from there. For instance from http://proz.mail.everyone.net you can retrieve your mail from another server (go to "Options" / "Check external mail" /click on "Edit" and uncheck "leave mail on server") If this is not the case, Ralf's advice is the only way to go. Have not yet heard from others | Sep 26, 2005 |
Our logs show the message was queued up once. This is not a guarantee that the message was not sent to you multiple times by the mailer, but it is a pretty good indicator and we have not (yet) received complaints or support tickets from anyone else regarding multiple mailings today. I'll keep an eye out on our end, but you may want to check everything on yours too. | | | Please submit a support ticket with complete headers of a couple duplicate messages | Sep 26, 2005 |
Hi Diane, If you submit a support ticket that includes the complete headers of a couple of the duplicate messages, support staff can help track down exactly where the problem is occurring. You can submit an email-related support ticket here: http://www.proz.com/support?mode=ask&type=email To learn how to see the complete headers of an email message, follow the ins... Many thanks to all for your replies. It looks as if the problem has stopped. It was propably due to a problem on the server.
