Im getting ready for CA CIP oral exam (Rus), and would greatly appreciate those who passed /taken it answering my question:
How do you translate proper names (names, last names, addresses, names of cities, towns, companies, etc) ???? simply by using transliteration? How do you translate proper names (names, last names, addresses, names of cities, towns, companies, etc) ???? simply by using transliteration? Meaning, Kimberly White, residing at 1234 Garden Ave, Los Angeles CA and employed by Hyatt Hotel Group would be: Кимберли Уайт, проживающая по адресу 1234 Гарден авеню, Лос Анджелес Калифорния и работающая в Хаят Отель Груп (или Группе??)??? I assume no Белый/ Белова или улица Садовая are allowed, correct???
One more thing, - do you pronounce it as if you are to say it in English or using Russian sounds?
Once again, Im only referring to the exam passing part, and not asking for overall theoretical lecture of "how to interpret proper names"!))
