Hello all!

I am looking for a Doc Fetcher-like software. I work at a LSP and we currently use Doc Fetcher to search the content of our Word documents.

Hello all!

I am looking for a Doc Fetcher-like software. I work at a LSP and we currently use Doc Fetcher to search the content of our Word documents.

A situation where we use Doc Fetcher is to look for similar documents we may have translated for that client. As file names are changed too easily, the best way to find a document is searching for its content. For example, every year we translate similar powers of attorney for a client, Doc Fetcher allows us to look for the latest power of attorney.

However, Doc Fetcher is very slow and bumpy regarding its indexing of files and we have a large database.

Do you use any other file management tools? Which ones do you recommend for LSPs? Quick indexing and the ability to search PDF files are important.

Similar questions are asked here from time to time, and you will find more advises if you would search the forum.

I personally use Archivarius 3000 (since some 10 years or so) - it is a very good program for an affordable price.

dtSearch: nothing else touches it May 14, 2021

I have tested a very large number of them over the years, and always end up coming back to dtSearch, which, if you ask me, is a professional grade tool for a very modest price.
