Avira Antivir Premium reports asso.dll and scandirs.exe

Hi Everyone,

After updating the virus definition file for Avira Antivir Premium on January 18 Avira reports asso.dll and scandirs.exe to contain the trojan TR/ATRAPS.Gen2.

I guess this is a false positive and I'll contact STAR about it.

Can someone confirm Avira's findings?

Surely, this is a mistake from Avira. For sure Scandirs is a component of Transit responsible for fuzzy matches.

Avira did the wrong alarm same with Across, then Avira GmbH has corrected this.

So, you should better also report this to the Avira people.

I've send both files for analysis tot Avira:

Genaue Ergebnisse für jede Datei finden sie im folgenden Abschnitt:
Dateiname Ergebnis
asso.dll FALSE POSITIVE

Die Datei 'asso.dll' wurde als 'FALSE POSITIVE' eingestuft. Dies bedeutet, dass diese Datei nicht gefährlich und eine Fehlmeldung unsererseits ist. Das Erkennungsmuster wird mit einem der nächsten Updates der Virendefinitionsdatei (VDF) entfernt werden.
