Fantastic post.

As a long-time medical interpreter in language pairs Arabic - English (mostly) and Kurdish - English (occasionally) in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, I can only and must say "Bravo!!" with highest appreciation and commendation to everyone in Canada involved in the production of those excellent multilingual forms! As a long-time medical interpreter in language pairs Arabic - English (mostly) and Kurdish - English (occasionally) in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, I can only and must say "Bravo!!" with highest appreciation and commendation to everyone in Canada involved in the production of those excellent multilingual forms! These forms reflect a masterpiece and testament to the dedication, talent and service to their respective communities by all of those participants.

To my best knowledge (and I welcome and would appreciate any related information otherwise via < shfranke @ hotmail.com>), no hospital, HMO, network, health center or private specialty clinic in the US has developed and uses similar language-enabled forms in their EMR systems (that said, The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas may be the only proximate exception, per information inside its multilingual website).

One would hope that those medical professionals and their gracious bilingual associates in Canada who developed these Arabic and Armenian versions might later produce a similar version of the registration form and the PHQ in Persian ("Farsi").

Thank you! We really didn't expect the outpouring of support when we got started with this project but it's been very exciting. In addition to our core business, we have a number of charitable clinical projects like this one on the go.

I will email you personally with more details, but I'm pleased to let you know that we can easily enhance any of our freely available forms to support Farsi, with just a little help with the translations. All we do is provide a spreadsheet (usually a shared online Google spreadsheet) for people to contribute the translated strings. Once the translations are done, we just upload the strings to the online form.
