Demographics and symptoms were recorded in 867 "incident patients" diagnosed with Morbus Crohn's diesease between 1996 and 2006.

Taken from a cohort study. Not sure what to do with this term. Inzidente Patienten returns some Google hits, but I'm not 100% happy with that.

Dies kann man nicht wie im EN adjektivisch lösen, sondern man muss den Satz umformulieren:

"xxx wurden bei 867 Patienten dokumentiert, bei denen zwischen 1996 und 2006 eine Neuerkrankung an Morbus Crohn diagnostiziert wurde." / "... ein Morbus Crohn erstmals diagnostiziert wurde."

Die Epidemiologie treibt sprachlich immer schöne Blüten, aber "inzidente Patienten"?? "Treten Patienten" einfach " neu auf"? Ich hätte eher für "inzidenten Morbus Crohn" oder "inzidente Morbus-Crohn-Fälle" Verständnis, aber während ich es schon hinschreibe, bekomme ich graue Haare. ;-)
