Final membrane filter cartridges consist of a membrane comprised of material like polyethersulfone (PES) or Nylon 66 which is sandwiched between support and drainage layers. The materials are pleated alongside, side sealed and put into an outer cage and are supported by an inner core. Endcapping ensures the media pack is sealed into each module. Welding the modules together makes 2-, 3- or 4-fold high filter cartridges. A *bomb fin* and adapter facilitate insertion into the housing.

I have my doubts that the authors are native English speakers though 2 have English names and 2 have German names.

Die Seite ist wohl nicht von Google übersetzt, aber eine fortgeschrittenere Maschine käme infrage. Nach der Arbeit von muttersprachlichen Fachleuten sieht das jedenfalls nicht aus. Allein schon der Satz mit der "bomb fin", der im Original zwei Synonyme nennt, in der Übersetzung aber suggeriert, es handele sich um zwei verschiedene Alternativen:<br>

scheint es ja um eine Art Führungsrippe zu gehen? Irgendwo hab ich gelesen, dass man diese Führung insbesondere bei langen Modulen benötigt.
Die Bombenflosse finde ich nicht so vertrauenerweckend, auch wenn das ggf. von Fachleuten geschrieben wurde. Das Tagesgeschehen rumort im Hinterkopf, die Assoziation ist derzeit nicht super.

Der von Emmanuella genannte Hersteller Amazon Filters übersetzt es ganz wörtlich als „Bombenflossen“ (weil das Teil eben wie eine Bombenflosse aussieht). Es ist ein britisches Unternehmen, dessen Website es nur in zwei Sprachen (EN/DE) gibt. Das Unternehmen hat eine deutsche Niederlassung und die deutschen Übersetzungen auf der Website machen eigentlich einen guten Eindruck – sind also bestimmt keine Google-Übersetzungen.

location fin bzw. Feststellrippe finde ich auch nicht. Ich habe den engl. Ausdruck gefunden, aber leider weiss ich immer noch nicht, wie man die auf deutsch nennt
