This is the story about St Remi giving Clovis a flask of blessed wine and telling him to drink some everyday and to pursue his foes so long as there was still some left.
The other lines I was going to translate as:
A barrel of wine did prepare for him
And declare that he would be victorious
So long as there remained wine within
